Food for Soldiers

This is post 8 of this blog. Please recite Tehillim 8 . In this blog, I try to highlight many good deeds that are being performed by Jews around the world, which will help us be judged favorably, in these trying times. Today, I came across an article about people who are stepping up to the plate to provide baked goods to the soldiers. May G-d give them strength to continue in their endeavors. The article can be read here .

The Overflowing Funeral

This is post 6 on this blog. Please recite Tehillim 6 . A CBS reporter was visbly moved when reporting on the following story. The family of a 24-year-old woman who was killed by Hamas militants at a music festival in southern Israel Saturday went online and asked if 10 people would attend her funeral, because the family had just moved to Israel and didn't know many people. About 10,000 Israelis showed up. If anyone has a story that they would like to be posted to the blog to share with the rest of the world about what an incredible people we are, please leave a comment below.

This is post number 4 of the blog. Please recite Tehillim 4 . He ends the video by declaring, "I accept upon myself to keep the Shabbat until I return my sould to the Creator."

The Collection Point

This is post number 3 of this blog. Please recite Tehillim 3. Imagine a courtoom where your best friend, or your brother is standing judgement. His life is on the line. You are called as a character witness. Would you say, "Your honor, I know the defendant well. Two years ago, he borrowed 100 dollars from me and has never paid me back." Alternatively, would you say, "Your honor, I know the defendant well. He has done so much good. In fact, last week, he donated 100 dollars to the so and so charity." What testimony would you choose? Jewish lives are on the line. Please, let us choose postive testimony. Let's show Hashem how we deserve to live and are worthy of miracles and salvation. Please post comments below with positive stories. Let's have a list of hundreds of thousands of good deeds that can be used in our defense in the courtroom. To start with, this week, I witnessed amazing unity when I saw volunteers of all ages manning a collection point wh

Holy Sabbath Candles

Welcome to the second post of this blog. Please say Tehillim 2 . Below is a Facebook post I just saw. Hi girls, join "I'm lighting my Shabbat candles 10 minutes earlier today" (18.27) I think you've already heard this Rabbi's explanation 💓 but it's so current that I'm sharing it with you *N* erot *C* hel *C* habat *K* odech, it forms the word *Nechek*: a weapon. Hebrew looks better Holy Sabbath candles = weapons The best *weapon* the Rabbi tells us, are the Shabbat candles that Jewish women and little girls light. *Just for this Shabat*, let’s light the candles and pray for all our brothers and sisters wherever they are. If we lit already let's lit 10 min earlier Better yet, let's encourage a friend, cousin, sister.. to light it up for them... Even if she tells you it doesn't make sense because she plans to use the phone or take the car after... *a Mitsva remains a Mitsva*, regardless of the rest, and every Mitsva counts in Hashem&

Without any Fanfare

I heard an amazing story about an angel of a man, and I started to write about him and what had transpired during the war. As he is injured, I am not going to reach out to him to ask if I can publicize what happened to him, so I will wait for another opportunity to write what I had been planning to be the first post in this blog. But, Hashem, Who knows what transpired, please silence the Satan when he comes to prosecute Bnei Yisrael by enumerating all the good deeds and acts of kindness and sacrifice the man has performed over the years, without any fanfare. Mi Keamcha Yisrael . וארון ברית ה' נוסע לפניהם This blog is named "In Their Merit" - in the merit of those who lost their lives on Simchat Torah and in the aftermath, and in the merit of all the good deeds that are being performed to help those in need. Please click here to recite the first chapter of Tehillim. I ask you to please resolve to only speak good about our brothers, so that the Satan can not ha
